Yellowstone River is A Great Place for Fly Fishing

Yellowstone river is tributary of Missouri River. It is approximately 1.114 km long in western of United States. It is considered principal tributary of upper Missouri, river and the tributaries drain wide area that stretching from Rocky Mountains in vicinity of Yellowstone National Park across mountain and the high plains of the northern Wyoming and southern Montana. The river in Yellowstone rises in the northwestern Wyoming in Absaroka Range on Continental Divide in the southwestern of Park Country. This river starts where South Fork and North Fork River converge. North Fork is larger from the two forks. It flows of the Younts Peak. South Fork flows from southern slopes of the Thorofare Mountain.

Yellowstone River is flowing northward through the Yellowstone National Park, draining and feeding the Yellowstone Lake, and dropping over Lower and Upper Yellowstone Falls in the head of Grand Canyon of Yellowstone in the confines of park. Once passing through Black Canyon of Yellowstone downstream of Grand Canyon, this river then flows northward to Montana between Gallatin Range and northern Absaroka range in Paradise Valley. River emerges of mountains near town of Livingston. Here, it turns northeastward and eastward, flowing across northern Great Plains and past city of Billings.

Super volcano yellowstone or Yellowstone Caldera actually is volcanic caldera that is located in the Yellowstone National Park, United States. The caldera is at the northwest corner of the Wyoming which vast majority of park is contained. Major features of caldera are measured at 35 x 45 miles or 55 x 72 km. Yellowstone lies over the hotspot where hot, light, molten mantle rock is rising towards surface. Now, the Yellowstone hotspot is under Yellowstone Plateau, this previously helped make eastern Snake River Plain through a series of volcanic eruptions. Actually, the hotspot is appearing to move across the terrain in east northeast direction. However, the hotspot actually is much deeper than the terrain and it remains stationary meanwhile the North American Plat is moving west southwest over it.

Over the past of 18 million years, super volcano Yellowstone generated a succession for less violent floods of the basaltic lava and violent eruptions.
